On the enormous power of small gestures

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
Leo Buscaglia
So over to you: What will you do today to make that small - rather, not-so-small - different in someone's life?

I was recently traveling on business. I stopped in at a Panera's (chain eatery) for breakfast. I was hoping to get some smaller bills, so wanted to pay with a $20 bill. I said to the cashier, "Are you able to break a 20 this early in the morning?" She exploded with joy. "You are the ONLY person to EVER ask me if I would mind making change!" She was effusive. It set a good tone for my day.
